What is God telling us when we fail?

If past tasks or ventures - business or otherwise - have failed, it doesn't automatically mean you should stop trying or that God doesn't want you to succeed or be successful. It *may simply be because you are attempting to succeed through your own strength and direction, not God's. The bottom line is to never stop seeking to be as productive as possible. We are called to bear much fruit. In doing so we bring God glory (Jn 15:8).

Do you wish to advance-succeed so you can bring honor and glory to yourself or to God? If the latter, we have God's support, if the former, we do not.

Christ said ask anything in His name - i.e. for His honor - and you will have it (Jn 15:7). So seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened **to you (Matt 7:7-8). You can't ask for better support or sign of his desire for you to succeed.

*It may mean this is not the direction God would have you go, but it may not. Before you assume anything, search your heart to be sure you are doing it for the right reason i.e. for his honor, not your own. Once you have, then you can more accurately assess if it is His direction and calling for you.

** Note this doesn't say the door will be opened "for you" but "to you." God doesn't want us to stop once we go through the door as if opening the door is our end, but to continue walking with him once the door is opened, because there is yet more to do. Getting the door open isn't our goal, it is only the beginning. Walking with Him in advancing his glory is why the door was opened to begin with.
