The question is how soon after he received it did he write it? I suspect he didn't wait long but wrote it while it was fresh on his mind. I was surprised as much as you were to find out the history and context of that quote. So I figured others might be as well and therefore posted it. The internal evidence was good enough for me, but this article is very helpful. I felt something briefer than a complete book would be helpful as well for those who are not as inclined to dig in more. Personally I like to dig. ;o)<br />Jim Dealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15489791286244386344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1201966190599358744.post-8398029117953373412016-07-13T11:39:15.871-07:002016-07-13T11:39:15.871-07:00I have thought an earlier date for some time now. ...I have thought an earlier date for some time now. My thoughts were further strengthened by a book by John A.T. Robinson: 'Redating The New Testament'. He was a liberal scholar who set out to disprove conservative early dates for the books of the New Testament, but became convinced otherwise and published his findings in his book. I recommend it if you can find a copy around. Thomas McQuaidnoreply@blogger.com
